Defective Fishing Line Brand

Bass Pro Premium Excel Monofilament 14# Clear Blue line that comes in a 3,240 foot spool has a manufacturing defect.

I have bought two different spools of this brand of fishing line and experienced the same problem of the line breaking inside the reel with both spools. Twice, I have come home and stripped the line off all of my reels then put fishing line from these same spools back on the reel only to have the fishing line break inside the spool when I’m out casting on the lake.

How did I find out about this manufacturing defect of the line breaking inside the reel?

The hard way when I saw one of my favorite lures fly across the lake with some of the fishing line trailing behind my lure. Casting out like I have done thousands of times left me wondering why this problem was happening.

Hesitant to say there was a problem with the line, I made sure that I did not have a back lash. That is why I came home and stripped my reel then put on new line just to have the line break again.

It is hard to say what may be causing the problem with this brand of fishing line but at this time I can not recommend buying this product.

I do not want you to get out on the lake only to hear you lost the fish of a lifetime because the fishing line broke inside your reel.
